RULES & REGULATIONS
Participation in OCBC Cycle Johor Bahru 2025 is subject to the following rules and regulations, which are designed to ensure a safe, fair, and enjoyable ride for everyone.
1Event Overview
OCBC Cycle JB 2025 (the Event) is title-sponsored by OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad (the Title Sponsor) and organised by Multigreen Events Sdn Bhd (the Event Organiser). The rules and regulations of the Event can be found at www.ocbccyclejb.com (the Official Website) and apply to all participants. By submitting an application to participate, the person named on the online form (“the Participant”) confirms agreement and acceptance to abide by these rules and regulations.
2Data Protection & Privacy
By submitting the application, the Participant consents to the Event Organiser and its relevant business partners and agents collecting, using, and disclosing their personal data for purposes reasonably required to conduct and promote the Event. The Event Organiser may contact the Participant from time to time by email and/or SMS, and notices in connection with the Event will primarily be sent through email.
3Registration
Registration is confirmed upon payment of the relevant registration fee and issuance of a registration number, which will be emailed to the Participant by the Event Organiser.
Participants must provide true, accurate, current, and complete information in the registration form (“the Registration Data”) and keep it updated.
Registration fees are non-refundable for any reason and strictly non-transferable.

4Participation Rules
• Participant’s age is calculated based on the day of the event.
• Minimum age for bike ride categories: 16 years old.
• Distances: Approx. 42KM or 21KM (final routes subject to regulatory approval).
• Only road bikes, mountain bikes, and foldies allowed (must have two brakes).
• Distances and durations are approximate and may change.
Once registered, participants are strictly prohibited from:
• Transferring or selling their event bibs.
• Changing the size of their event apparel.
Completion Rewards:
• A medal will be awarded to participants who finish and present their cycling bib to officials.

5Bicycles Not Allowed
For safety reasons, the following bicycles are prohibited:
• Bikes with disc wheels or rim covers
• Bikes with aero or extension bars
• Fixed-gear bikes (including those with brakes)
• Bikes with child seats
• Specialist time trial bikes
• Motorised bikes
• Unicycles, trailer bikes, recumbent bikes, tandem bicycles, hand cycles, trikes, scooters
All bicycles must have two working brakes. Participants with unapproved bicycles will not be allowed to take part. If event officials overlook this, the organiser and title sponsor will not be held liable for any incidents.

6Entry Pack Collection
• Participants must bring their registration confirmation slip (printed or digital) and a valid photo ID when collecting their entry pack.
• Entry packs can only be collected during the official collection dates and times. Late collections will not be entertained.
• Participants who are unable to collect in person may authorize a representative to collect on their behalf by providing the participant’s confirmation slip, and a copy of the participant’s photo ID.
• Event apparel sizes are strictly based on the selection made during registration and cannot be changed or exchanged at collection.
• Entry pack contents must be verified on-site. No claims of missing items will be entertained after leaving the collection counter.
• The organizer reserves the right to refuse the release of entry packs to participants who fail to comply with the stated requirements.
• Entry pack kits will not be distributed on the event day.

7Participant Safety Rules
Participants must:
• Wear a cycling helmet at all times
• Ride safely and responsibly
• Avoid using mobile music devices, hand-held cameras, or telephones while riding
• Not use a TT AERO helmet

8Event Bib & Bicycle Plate
Participants must accurately wear & display their event bib & bicycle plate as per instructions in our Event Guide. Without a bib and bicycle plate, participants will not be allowed to join.
9Route Compliance
Participants must follow the designated route and obey all instructions from security, traffic management, and event officials. Participants unlikely to finish within the stipulated time may be diverted to designated points but will still receive a medal.
10Cycling Route Changes
The Event Organiser reserves the right to amend cycling routes at any time without prior notice for the safety of participants. Reasonable efforts will be made to inform participants before the event date. The organiser will not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by such changes.
11Lucky Draw Prizes
• Winners must be at the podium within 30 minutes after the announcement. Participants should listen for announcements from the event emcee regarding prize-giving.
• An official event bib must be shown or worn to claim any lucky draw prize.

12Kids’ Push Bike – Additional Rules
Registration:
• Guardians must provide accurate personal details for the child.
• Any false information will lead to withdrawal and reclaiming of prizes.
• MyKID card must be shown at registration when collecting jersey, sponsor’s gift, and bib.
Bicycle Specifications:
• Balance bicycle with 10–12 inch tyres.
• Handlebar width ≤ 450mm.
• No screws/sharp parts that may cause injury.
• Bicycle must be well-maintained.
• All brands allowed if they meet the above requirements.
Safety Gear (Mandatory):
• Helmet, long-sleeved shirt, long pants, shoes, gloves, padding.
• Participants without required safety equipment will be withdrawn.
Parental Responsibility:
• Parents/guardians are fully responsible for their child’s safety.
• Keep venue clean by using provided rubbish bins.
Kids’ Push Bike Category Prize Structure
Age Groups: Age 3 (Mixed), Age 4 (Mixed), Age 5 (Mixed), Age 6 (Mixed), Boys Open, Girls Open
• 1st to 6th place for each category
• Prizes: Plaque + Sponsors’ gift

13Medical Safety
Participants are encouraged to consult their doctor before registering and participating. Organisers provide only minor injury support at the venue.
In case of an emergency, medical personnel may:
• Remove participants from the route if they are unable to continue
• Send casualties to the nearest recommended hospital

14Insurance
All participants are covered by basic complimentary Personal Accident insurance. Additional coverage can be purchased from Great Eastern Life Assurance.
15Media & Promotion Rights
The Event Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs, motion pictures, images, recordings, or any other record of the Event and its Participants for commercial advertising and promotional purposes related to the Event or future events.
16Event Changes & Cancellation
The Event Organiser reserves the right to cancel or change any details of the Event or its components without prior notice. Reasonable efforts will be made to inform Participants of changes before the Event date. If the Event or any part of it is cancelled, except in cases of negligence by the Event Organiser, there will be no refund of registration fees. The Event Organiser will not be liable for any consequential loss or inconvenience.
17Liability
The Participant acknowledges that the Title Sponsor does not assume any operational role in organising the Event and shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death in connection with the Event. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Event Organiser shall also not be held liable for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death in connection with the Event.
18Amendments to Rules
The Event Organiser reserves the right to modify these rules and regulations at any time. In the case of ambiguity, the Event Organiser shall be the sole authority to interpret them, taking into account the interests of all Participants. Any amendments will be published on the Official Website.
19Disputes
• All organiser decisions are final.
• Objections must be supported by strong evidence and RM100 (refundable if upheld).
• The organiser will not provide its own evidence (including photos or videos).

20Support Our Go Green Efforts
Keep the venue clean – Use the rubbish and recycling bins provided. Avoid littering along the route or at the venue.
